ashlynn poworoznyk biography
Ashlynn Poworoznyk is a dance force, originally from Calgary, Alberta, and is now flourishing in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Her journey with dance began at the age of three, and her passion for the art has only intensified over the years. Ashlynn’s dedication to dance is unwavering, and she has set ambitious goals for herself in the dance industry.
She has trained extensively in various styles of dance, including jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, musical theatre, acro, tap, heels, commercial, and contemporary/modern.
In addition to her comprehensive training, Ashlynn has achieved notable milestones, including the successful completion of her RAD Advanced Foundation ballet exam and ADAPT Advanced jazz and tap exams, proving herself to be a well-rounded dancer. While she loves all styles of dance, jazz holds a special place in her heart as it makes her feel alive and expressive.
Apart from performing, Ashlynn is also passionate about choreographing and exploring innovative and abstract movements. She has choreographed several solo pieces, one of those being featured in Edmonton Fashion Week, and dedicated her time to teaching full-time with Vancouver Performing Stars. Ashlynn has a unique teaching style and strives to create a positive and uplifting atmosphere in all of her classes.
Ashlynn has been fortunate enough to be a part of multiple live performances, as well as trained at major studios, such as Millennium Dance Complex, Playground, TMilly TV, Harbour Dance Centre, Studio North, A3 District, and many more.
Ashlynn has had the privilege to work and train with several choreographers such as Enola Bedard, Justin Corbo, Teya Wild, Menina Fortunato, Joanne Pesusich, and Randa Barrett, and is continuing to expand her network through the The Source Dance Company.
Some of her achievements include performing with Dance the Magic Disney, as well as participating in The Hollywood Summer Tour, where she collaborated with Enola Bedard (21M followers) at Universal City Walk for her debut live performance.
In her pursuit of excellence, Ashlynn enrolled in The Business of Dance Mentorship Program, courtesy of Menina Fortunato, to ensure she has all the tools she needs for a successful dance career.
Ashlynn aspires to utilize her diverse range of skills and extensive experience with the ultimate goal of appearing in music videos, working as a dancer in TV/film, touring with recording artists, and establishing herself as a renowned choreographer.
Ashlynn is known for her exceptional work ethic, drive, motivation, professionalism, and versatility. She is eager to take her dance journey to the next level and is ready to immerse herself even deeper into the industry.
